Terrace Search and Rescue has announced plans to build a new, stand-alone search and rescue hall.
The organization has purchased property at 4455 Grieg Ave with the intentions of build a new building for members to call home.
Search Manager Dave Jephson says the group currently has equipment stored in three different locatios and has out
grown its current location.
Jephson says the design concept for the new search and rescue hall features a large, second floor training room which could benefit more than just Terrace Search and Rescue.
As for funding the venture, the group has submitted a proposal to BC Gaming for a Capital Project Grant and plans to begin additional fundraising efforts in the new year.
