Terrace Search and Rescue logged 5942 hours across more than 170 activities in 2018 according to their end of year report to council.
Of the 172 total activites, 24 were active incidents, a number which cuts close to the average yearly rate.
Educational and community prevention events made up a significant chunk of those activities as the team ramped up efforts to eliminate incidents before they could occur.
In 2018, the team added 17 new members to their roster of roughly 65, with around 55 of those being active members.
Every single member of the Terrace Search and Rescue crew is a volunteer.
