Thornhill residents will have to continue to boil their water for the time being.
The Regional District of Kitimat Stikine says it’s waiting on test results after staff disinfected the main water storage facilities and flushed both the upper and lower distribution systems twice.
The regional district says those test results should be complete by sometime Thursday afternoon.
Until then, officials say the want to take a precautionary approach and advise residents in Upper and Lower Thornhill, Queensway, and Copper Mountain to continue boiling their water.
The boil water advisory was issued October 10th after total coliform bacteria was detected in the distribution system.
