An oil fire at the Terrace Paving Asphalt Plant kept Thornhill fire fighters busy for about 3 hours yesterday evening.
According to the Thornhill Fire Department, the blaze necessitated the closure of Highway 16 east of Terrace.
The fire was due to an oil heater failing and igniting some of the product.
Crews were able to quickly quell the blaze.
