Thousands of people are without power across northern B.C after an overnight storm.
BC Hydro says over 5400 customers were in the dark in Prince Rupert, Burns Lake, Bella Coola, Kitimat, Terrace, and Smithers as of 7:30 Tuesday morning.
Hydro reports that many of the outages are under investigation or due to downed trees across wires.
Environment Canada says very gusty wind hit the North Coast overnight.
A wind warning for coastal and inland sections of the region remains in effect.
