ThriveNorth has announced the winners of their 4th Annual Business Challenge Competition.
A total of 35 thousand dollars was awarded to five winners during a ceremony in Fort St John yesterday.
Under the aged 18-29 Best New Business category, Holly-Anne Ritchie and Shay Bergunder, of Dawson Creek, walked away with 10 thousand dollars for their company BowTie.
Stephen Beard, of Beard’s Brewing in Fort St John, also took home 10 thousand in the Best New Business category for ages 29-39.
Another 10 thousand was awarded to Jessie Taylor for Best Growth Opportunity for her company Mama G’s Country Kitchen and their Chetwynd expansion.
Finally, Smithers resident Axel Whalen took home the People’s Choice award, worth 5 thousand dollars, for his company, Tiny Life Supply.
ThriveNorth is partnered with Youth Business International and aims to spotlight young entrepreneurs.
