Drive thru concerns took center stage when a new development plan for the Downtown Terrace Tim Horton’s was presented to council.
Though plan itself focused more on modernizing the interior and exterior look of the Lazelle Avenue restaurant, council quickly brought up the inconvenience of the drive thru positioning.
According to council, the drive thru currently forces customer’s vehicles to spill on to the streets and block traffic.
It was noted that the issue was brought up to contractors TDL Corp, but the idea was declined due to a lack of space and time.
To further compound the issue, the existing drive thru is set to be closed down and directed through an on-site trailer while the building’s facade is repaired.
The proposal was eventually approved by council following the lengthy discussion.
