Two of the three major wildfires that prompted evacuation orders last week are now at least partially under control.
The Allie Lake and Xusum Creek wildfires are now 35 and 25 percent contained respectively, but the largest of the three, the Tommy Lakes fire, is still out of control.
Now covering over 170 square kilometers northwest of Fort St John, the fire has been growing for a week now after being sparked by lightning.
All three fires still have evacuation orders or alerts surrounding them but wildfire crews are expecting projected rain and cooler temperatures to help quell the blazes.
