Construction on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion could begin any day now after acquiring National Energy Board approval yesterday.
Sections one through four of the expansion, which cover the area between Edmonton and Kamloops, have met all of the required pre-construction requirements, according to the NEB.
As a result, the company can begin construction right away, pending permits.
96 percent of the detailed route for those sections, and 72 percent for the entire project, have been approved.
Two active hearings remain in place for the final segments, scheduled for October.
