TransCanada donates $250,000 to CNC

TransCanada has donated $250,000 to the College of New Caledonia.

The money will go towards trades bursaries ($45,000), safety training programs ($45,000), and the college’s Digital Delivery Initiative ($150,000).

CNC President Henry Reiser says the funding will help make education and training more available to communities across the north and to low-income learners.

TransCanada is developing more than $13 billion in new natural gas pipeline projects across northern B.C. as part of the liquefied natural gas industry.

The pipeline firm announced a $250,000 donation to Northwest Community College Tuesday.
