9:15am – James Jones & Linsay Willier – Dreams in Motion Inc.
James dances with A Tribe Called Red and was on So You Think You Can Dance, and Linsay was on Canada’s Next Top Model. James did a cool dance, and told his life story growing up, his gang life, how he battled anxiety attacks, but then how something inside him told him he needed to leave that hard life behind him. Also how it’s NEVER too late to set your sights on your dreams, whether that is going to school, getting your dream job, if you say it out loud, take action with your intentions…you can do it. Just ask James.
10:15am – Linsay talks about how she was shy and had no goals, and preferred the background versus reaching for anything. By the time she auditioned for Canada’s Next Top Model, she had broken through her shyness by branching out, including playing hockey, and had done enough to realize who she was and that confidence helped her win the auditions to be on the show.
11:30am – CFNR’s own Kiefer Collison takes the floor to inspire the youth with his entertaining flare!
12pm – Lunch! #pizza
1pm – Frank Parnell, CEO of TRICORP talked about the opportunities and challenges he had as a young person, and how he realizes it’s different for the youth of today, but the goals should be the same. Frank encourages all young people to reach out for opportunities, education and looking to establish yourself in a job or career that you can be happy in.
