Trudeau spoke on wildfire situation in Williams Lake

Yesterday, Prime Minister Trudeau was in Williams Lake visiting first responders and people affected by wildfires.

Trudeau started his day at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex and then headed over to the Cariboo fire center.

Joined by Trudeau were ministers, and the Premier of British Columbia, John Horgan.

Trudeau had a chance to see first hand the immense damage caused by the fires.

Trudeau added, even though it was a tough call.. the evacuation needed to be done.

More than 800 wildfires have scorched about 4,260 square kilometers in B.C. since April 1 and the province has spent $172.5 million fighting the flames.
