Two residents are safe after being stranded on the Kitimat River.
Emergency crews got the call just after 6 p.m. Sunday evening when two people became stuck on the tidal plains at the mouth of the Douglas Channel.
The Coast Guard attempted to rescue them but were unable because of the low tide.
Search and Rescue crews were able to get to the two people and bring them to shore.
The residents are doing well, and had no symptoms from their exposure to the elements.
