The Alumni Council of UNBC are set to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of two former students.
Sam Milligan, a 2012 graduate, is being receiving the Professional Excellence Award for his contributions social, cultural, and economic well-being of society.
Mulligan is a registered nurse who has devoted his time to caring for marginalized people around the world, and has worked qith the Central Interior Native Health Society providing HIV education.
Helen Domshy, who graduated in 2001, will be honoured with the Community Service Award for her significant volunteer accomplishments.
Domshy raised over 20 thousand dollars for child literacy programs, and has contributed to many organizations, as well as papers regarding spousal abuse and mistreatment of women.
This year’s recipients were selected by a special alumni panel.
