UNBC earns top marks in Maclean’s university rankings

The University of Northern British Columbia has made it to the top of Maclean’s annual university rankings.

For the first time ever, UNBC is ranked #1 in the Primarily Undergraduate category that includes 19 universities.

The university finished in the top five in seven different categories.

UNBC President, Dr. Daniel Weeks says the Maclean’s ranking only cements what everybody in the north already knew, that UNBC is a first-rate school.

Maclean’s also added a student satisfaction survey this year, and the university also scored well on that front.

This year also marks UNBC’s 25th anniversary.

UNBC had been a runner-up three times in the past, placing second in 2014, 2012 and 2008.
