No changes at the top for the University of Northern BC as they renews the contract for its president for a second term.
Doctor Daniel Weeks joined the University in 2014 with the goal of expanding the school’s influence around the world.
Weeks will now have another 5 years to continue his work after a school-appointed committee praised Weeks first-term work.
Over the course of Weeks’ first term, UNBC has increased student recruitment, strengthened Aboriginal relationships, added robust academic and financial planning strategies, launched comprehensive donor support campaigns, and further increased the University’s standing as a leader in research and innovation.
Weeks has his sights set much further though, saying his focus is on what he wants the school to look like at its 50th anniversary in 2040.
