Some good news out of the Wildfire 40 kilometers northwest of Quesnel.
The BC Wildfire Service has been working on a fire that is burning over an area around 158 hectares in size and it’s 30% contained.
There are no injuries and the blaze has no threats to structures.
Investigators have deemed the fire to be not suspicious and the cause was a lightning strike.
Natasha Broznitsky, Fire Information Officer for the Cariboo says smoke may be seen from some communities.
Broznitsky adds the main goal of today is to increase the percentage of containment.
