The search has been called off for a missing boater near Prince Rupert.
The Coast Guard launched several vessels late Monday afternoon after receiving a report about an overdue boat with two people on board.
Despite the rough weather, David Innes was found yesterday morning inside the boat, about 5km west of Rachel Island.
Unfortunately no sign was found of Erwin Innes as the search continued through the day.
Nearby communities are continuing the search as long as weather permits.
The file has been turned over to the RCMP as a missing persons case.
This story has been updated from a previous version that incorrectly stated David Innes was rescued clinging to the side of the overturned boat. We apologize for the error.
