Vessel found, but no trace of missing boater

Military aircraft have now jointed the search in the Douglas Channel  for a missing boater.
Two people were on board a four-metre long aluminum vessel when it overturned Thursday night in heavy rain and near zero visibility.
One of the two people tried to swim to shore and was rescued about 180 metres from land and taken to hospital to be treated for hypothermia. The second boater was last seen clinging to the overturned boat.
Captain Zlatko Neral with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria says searchers found the boat Friday morning, but not the missing person.
Neral says a civilian helicopter was been joined by a Canadian Forces Cormerant at the scene shortly before noon, and a Buffalo searcha nd rescue plane is also expected after being diverted to Sandspit due to poor weather.
Vessels from the Coast Guard, RCMP and the Haisla Nation community are also taking part in the search.
