As of this Friday, it will be two years since the disappearance of a Sik-e-Dakh (Glen Vowell) man.
Family and friends of Lester Sampson plan to hold a walk to mark the occasion with the hope that someone can provide a clue to what may have happened to him.
Sampson was 57 years old when he disappeared August 25, 2015. An extensive ground and water search was carried out by New Hazelton RCMP, search and rescue, and the community at large with no results.
Community and family volunteers also scoured the area of Sampson’s disappearance later that fall.
The starting point of this Friday’s walk will be the Gitanmaax Food and Fuel at 10 am. Participants can walk or run to the Sik-e-Dakh Community Hall.
Those wishing to participate can get a registration form at the Glen Vowell Band or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
