A group of walkers making the long journey from Norway House, Manitoba to Prince Rupert arrived in Terrace Monday.
Brenda Osborne and seven others are raising awareness about missing and murdered indigenous people.
The group was welcomed by Terrace residents at Ferry Island last night. A potluck will be held at the Terrace Arena banquet room from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday to honour the walkers.
Friendship House in Prince Rupert is extending an invitation to all area residents to welcome the walkers Wednesday.
From Winnipeg to Prince Rupert, they’ll have walked just over 3,400km.
