A number of weather warnings are in place for the listening area.
Environment Canada says Northern Cariboo, including Quesnel, are under a snowfall warning.
It’s expected 10-15 cm of snow will fall on the area throughout the day.
There’s also a risk of freezing rain with the temperatures hovering around zero.
The snow is expected to change over to rain later on.
Officials are warning drivers to be careful as the conditions are expected to change quickly.
The weather agency also has a wind warning for the coastal sections of Central Coast.
Wind gusts could top 100 km/h.
They’re warning residents to have loose items tied town.
High winds are expected to continue through tomorrow morning.
