Westjet is cutting its direct flights between Calgary and Terrace.
The airline made the announcement Monday citing a drop in passenger numbers as weakness in the energy sector continues.
Westjet has also shelved its direct Calgary-Prince George flight as well as the direct service between Edmonton and Kamloops and Nanaimo.
Westjet says it’s daily flights between Calgary and Terrace, in operation since last May, will end March 5th, although the airline will continue with its three-times daily flights to Vancouver.
Air Canada announced the suspension of its direct flights between Terrace and Calgary in November.
