Wildfire orders downgraded in the Cariboo

The Cariboo Regional District has downgraded some alerts.

The Highway 24 corridor evacuation order has been partly downgraded to an alert and residents can now return to their homes around watch and Fawn Lakes as well as the northeast side of Green Lake. Highway 24 is open to all traffic in both directions.

The Highway 24 corridor evacuation alert number 2 has been partially lifted in areas north of Horse Lake Road and east of Highway 97 which includes Deka, Sulphurous and Horse Lakes, Lone Butte and the area northwest of Green Lake. Residents have the all clear sign to head back home.
