Williams Lake RCMP have one person in custody after a hit and run Monday night.
Police were called out to Pinchbeck Street and 7th Avenue just after 6:30 when a station wagon hit a pickup and fled the area.
Mounties tracked down the station wagon, but the driver backed into a police vehicle while allegedly trying to escape.
Police arrested 42 year-old out of town man who is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
RCMP say the station wagon was stolen from a nearby home which was also broken into.
Police are recommending a number of charges, including break and enter, possession of stolen property, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
