Drug related offenses played a role in 5 of 6 high profile arrests made by Williams Lake RCMP yesterday.
The first arrests were made when police pulled over a vehicle on Pigeon Avenue.
While the 28 year-old driver was found to be driving while prohibited, a search revealed that both he and the 24 year-old female passenger were in possession of heroin and fentanyl with intent to traffic.
Later, police detained a 48 year-old man that they found in possession of a quantity of heroin.
Not long after a pair of Smithers men were discovered with a quantity of meth and cocaine, one of whome had outstanding warrants.
4 out of 5 of the offenders are known to police and all were arrested on drug related charges.
Police also made a sixth arrest of a man who was wanted on multi-jurisdictional warrants earlier in the day.
