A Williams Lake resident has been charged with multiple counts of fraud relating to the special Olympics.
The arrest stems from a nearly year old investigation that ran from August of 2016 to August of 2017.
The investigating allegedly revealed that Dianne Lee, who was the treasurer for the Williams Lake branch of the Special Olympics Society at the time, forged signitures on multiple cheques for personal gain.
She has been charged with 11 counts of Utter Forged Cheques, Fraud over 5,000 dollars, and theft over 5000 dollars.
Lee is scheduled to appear in court on the 29th of August.
