Unpredictable wind has left crews facing erratic and aggressive fire conditions on a wildfire southwest of Prince George.
Fire Information Officer Jill Kelsh says the Little Bobtail Lake fire grew overnight, but the smoke has hampered efforts to get an accurate picture of just how much the fire has increased.
Kelsh says the smoke has also prevented air tankers from tackling the flames today.
The fire is estimated at 4,500 hectares, but it is expected to grow with continued hot, dry weather.
The blaze has forced about 80 people from homes and recreational properties in the region.
