Haida Gwaii could be in for some damaging wind Wednesday night.
Environment Canada says an intense pacific frontal system is approaching the BC coast which will bring southeast wind gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour.
Officials have issued a wind warning for Haida Gwaii due to the potential risk posed by the wind.
Environment Canada says the gusts could toss objects and damage soft structures. Officials are advising residents to avoid forested areas possible of the risk of falling branches and trees.
Forecasters expect the wind to die down Thursday morning.
