A blast of winter weather is expected across much of northern BC Monday
Environment Canada has issued a number of weather warnings for the coast and interior of the province.
Inland sections of the North Coast are under a snowfall warning with 15 cm expected in Terrace and Stewart and up to 10 cm in Kitimat.
Forecasters have also issued wind warnings for Haida Gwaii, the North Coast, and Central Coast with gusts of up to 110 kilometres an hour.
Potentially damaging wind from the southeast will hit this morning and then shift to the west before starting to ease up Monday night.
Environment Canada has also issued a special weather statement for Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, the Cariboo, and Chilcotin due to gusty wind and snow.
Drivers are urged to adjust to the conditions and give themselves extra time to get to where they’re going.
