Strong winds continue to buffet Haida Gwaii and the BC Coast.
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for areas of the North and Central Coast with gusts southeast of up to 110 kilometres per hour today.
Forecasters say an intense low pressure system will cross Haida Gwaii today. As the system moves onshore this afternoon, the wind will switch to strong westerlies before dying down tonight.
The adverse weather has disrupted BC Ferries sailings between Prince Rupert and Skidegate as well as Skidegate and Alliford Bay.
Check with BC Ferries for sailing updates.
