Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for inland sections of the North Coast.
Forecasters say a frontal system will head inland Friday night and across the interior of the province Saturday.
Snow is expected for Terrace and Stewart along with a second system bringing more snow to Kitimat Saturday.
Snowfall amounts of between 20 and 30 cm are expected by Saturday night and visibility may be poor due to the storm.
Environment Canada says the same system will bring heavy rain to the Central Coast.
The wet weather has prompted a rainfall warning for the region with up to 100 mm of precipitation expected by Saturday night.
Environment Canada says heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads as well as possible washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
