Warmer weather may be on the way for the Northwest, but it will likely bring more challenges.
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for the North and Central Coast regions.
Forecasters say snow and freezing rain are possible Friday afternoon and into the evening as a storm system reaches the mainland, bringing with it milder air.
Surface temperatures are expected to remain below zero, which could mean very slippery conditions for highways, roads, and walkways.
The risk of freezing rain will likely continue until sometime Saturday.
