A winter storm watch has been issued for North Coast inland sections.
A warm up in temperatures is expected to bring in a system that will dump 10-20 cm of snow on the Terrace-Kitimat region.
Stewart is expected to get more, with 25 cm in the forecast.
Environment Canada says the storm is expected to begin tonight.
The warm up will eventually bring the temperatures above freezing on Saturday, with the snow switching to rain.
They say some areas could see a period of freezing rain during the transition.
With the warm up, the arctic outflow warning has ended for the area.
