Winter Weather Wallops BC

If you don’t have to travel anywhere, it’s probably better to stay off the roads.

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for inland sections of the North Coast along with snowfall warnings for Dease Lake, Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District, and the Cariboo, including Williams Lake and Quesnel.

Meteorologist Jennifer Hay says cold air and gusty wind in the north is meeting with moisture laden air coming up from the south.

The BC ministry of transportation has issued travel advisories for a number of highways due to blowing snow, reduced visibility, and slippery conditions.

Affected roads include the Nisga’a Highway, Highway 37 between Terrace and Kitimat, and sections of Highway 16 between Terrace and Prince George.
