A new lab is bringing a focus on wood innovation to the University of Northern BC.
The state-of-the-art wood innovation research lab opens its doors today, providing students, researchers, and faculty with the ability to build and test large scale building innovations.
The 5.3 million dollar project will work in close proximity to partners to turn their ideas in to services and inventions.
On top of being the country’s leading research and design space, the building also bosts incredible efficiency, operating at 70 percent of the energy use of comparibly sized buildings.
