The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafeBC are investigating a death at a northern BC mine.
WorkSafe says it was notified Sunday afternoon that a Smithers resident in his 50s died at the Brucejack Mine near Stewart.
Officials say the man was an employee of Tsetsaut Ventures of Hazelton.
WorkSafe says it is investigating for cause under the Workers Compensation Act.
No other details about the nature of the incident have been released.
