WorkSafe BC has made a number of new online resources available in preparation for the legalization of cannabis.
The new resource will focus on educating and assessing functional impairment, rather than enforcement or testing.
WorkSafe says that, since testing can only determine if there has been use in the past and not how recent, they will instead focus on educating employers on how to read their employees.
They also want to ensure that employers have good policies and procedures in place to avoid jumping right to enforcement.
WorkSafe is launching the new resource on their site today.
