In the recently released Kitimat RCMP weekly report, it was revealed that the Police had been dealing with multiple cases of impaired driving.
On November 4th, an RCMP officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and subsequently began an investigation for impaired driving.
The driver refused a breathalyzer test which then resulted in the driver’s vehicle being impounded for 30 days and them being dealt a 90-day immediate roadside driving prohibition.
A day later, another traffic stop was conducted on a driver, who was then confirmed to have had alcohol and was also given the same punishment as the other driver.
The day after that, another driver was pulled over for a traffic stop, failed their breathalyzer test, and got the same punishment as the previous two drivers.
