A floatplane crash on the Central Coast yesterday has rescue crews on the search for its three missing occupants.
Operated by Air Cab, the plane had been flying its pilot and two passengers back to Port Hardy, from a remote logging camp along the coast.
But, at around 1:20 in the afternoon, the plane went down Strachan Bay, where it is presumed to have sunk.
Coast Guard crews were sent to the area in the moments after the crash, but had no luck locating either the plane or the occupants.
Crews from the RCMP West Coast Marine and Dive Team are still searching, and anyone with information should contact their local RCMP.
