Telus has stepped up to commit $5 million to organizations supporting first responders this wildfire season.
Those donations come from Telus and several of their branches like Telus Health and the Telus Indigenous Communities Fund.
It’s not just cash though, as they’ve also developed in kind support, like establishing a 24/7 free community crisis hotline.
Evacuated customers may also receive a 50 gigabite data top up, and donating disaster kits to evacuation centres.
That all comes in addition to working with different levels of government to ensure connectivity is not interrupted in critical locations like emergency operation and evacuation centres.
