Northwest Fire Centre to establish another Category 1 Campfire Ban

Under current wildfire conditions, the Northwest Fire Centre is planning another campfire prohibition.

Effective at noon tomorrow, a category 1 campfire prohibition will be put in place until October 16.

In addition to campfires, fireworks, firecrackers, sky lanterns, burn barrels, binary exploding targets, torches, air curtain burners, and chimineas are also under prohibition.

Although outdoor stoves are permitted as long as the flame is less than 15 centimetres tall and uses briquettes or gaseous fuel.
