Fresh funding from the Prince Rupert Port Authority has helped make Prince Rupert home to the best equipped gymnastics facility in the Northwest.
More than $135,000 from the Authority’s Community Investment Fund went toward the purchase of a slew of new equipment at the Prince Rupert Gymnastics Association’s new facility.
Purchased late last year, the new facility is situated inside a renovated warehouse at Rushbrook Harbour, after it outgrew its previous home.
With the funding, the Association was able to purchase a new full-size spring floor, tumble track, air pit, matts and blocks, and more.
Thanks to the new equipment, the Association will be able to expand programming, increase enrollment, and host special events, competitions and camps.
