Mondays can be rough, but RCMP are reminding residents that that isn’t an excuse to get drunk and borrow a friend’s car without permission.
Yesterday morning, Kitimat RCMP received a report of a vehicle being taken from the area without permission.
At around 2:30 in the afternoon, Terrace RCMP located said vehicle driving erratically along Highway 16, near Kasiks River.
After pulling over the 32 year-old woman, police conducted a sobriety test which revealed her blood alcohol level to be twice the legal limit.
She was arrested and later released from custody, with RCMP forwarding charges to the Prosecution Service for approval.
