RCMP say a 20-year-old Chetwynd resident is facing possible charges after a suspected arson at a townhouse complex.
Police and emergency crews were called to a fire at the complex shortly before 10 pm Wednesday night and found two people outside.
Initially, emergency workers weren’t sure if a third person was still inside, but later determined the person had made it out safely.
The 20-year-old is expected to appear in Dawson Creek court Friday and may be facing charges, including Arson with Disregard for Human Life.
One resident of the home suffered minor injuries and one officer suffered smoke inhalation trying to locate the third person who was initially unaccounted for.
