Conservation officers have lifted a closure notice for two trails in the Smithers area, following a wolf attack on a dog last week.
The Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre says the Pine Creek and Pooch Paradise trails have been re-opened.
Conservation Services say the wolves have moved on.
A skier’s dog was killed by a wolf last week, and the skier reported that a wolf had followed him along the trail afterwards.
Officers who went to the area the following day found the carcass of a young moose that had been attacked by a pack of wolves.
