A number of controlled burns are scheduled to take place near Meziadin Junction in the next few days.
The burns will take place roughly 55 kms east of Stewary and 245 kms south of Dease Lake.
Smoke will be visible from Highway 37 and some adjacent communities while the burns are taking place.
Fire crews will be on scene with adequate equipment to manage the blazes, which will occur along a 60 km stretch beside Highway 37.
The burns are part of an on-going effort to manage wildfire risks and dispose of debris simultaneously.
