With the Narcosli Creek wildfire now 70 percent contained, the Cariboo Regional District is reducing evacuation orders and alerts in the area.
The evacuation alert that had covered over 15 hundred properties in electoral area B, or the north portion of West Quesnel, has been lifted completely.
The City of Quesnel has also lifted evacuation alert for all properties in West Quesnel.
There are currently now alerts or orders affecting city properties, although they could be reissued if wildfire activities worsen.
The CRD says an alert remains in effect for 623 properties including the Nazko, Baker Creek and Blackwater communities.
The evacuation order south of that in the Narcosli Creek area has been reduced to just 23 properties while an evacuation alert remains in place for West Fraser and the Narcosli Creek community.
