Enbridge says that the dust which coated adjacent homes following a pipeline explosion in Shelley last week is not a health risk.
After conducting earth sampling of the area northeast of Prince George, the company determined that both the mineral and metal composition were well below provincial and federal standards.
While there is still no timeline for the repair of the pipeline, Enbridge is continuing construction on a service road to the site so that they can begin repairs as soon as possible.
In the meantime, FortisBC is continuing to urge customers to limit non-essential fuel use until the pipeline is repaired.
