A founding director of My Mountain Co-op at Shames Mountain has passed away at 58.
Family members say Curtis Billey died last week doing what he loved–skiing with friends.
Billey, who moved to Terrace in 1992 and became a partner at McAlpine Chartered Accountants, was involved in a number of community initiatives, including the Terrace Off Road Cycling Association (TORCA).
A Message on TORCA’s Facebook page calls Billey an important and respected member who supported the community’s efforts through his volunteerism. It says his amazing attitude and wonderful spirit will be missed greatly.
A Celebration of Life is planned for April 3 at the REM Theatre in Terrace.
